Acupuncture

Acupuncture is a form of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) which takes a holistic approach to health and wellbeing. Acupuncture encourages the body’s natural healing abilities to help prevent and treat illness.

Acupuncture is an effective, natural therapy which targets the meridian system. Also known as channel therapy, acupuncture points may be regarded as a series of channels which act like highways on the skin surface and deep in the body. Acupuncture treatment activates these pathways and encourages balance within the channel system.

An acupuncture treatment involves the insertion of single use, sterile, fine needles into specific points to manipulate the body’s energy and promote its healing. Acupuncture needles stimulate acupuncture points which encourage the release of hormones that can effect blood flow, encourage pain relief and increase the circulation of energy around your body.

This holistic natural therapy can effectively treat a wide range of acute and chronic ailments through systemic healing.  Acupuncture helps to treat both the underlying cause of illness as well as the symptoms.  Regular acupuncture sessions can also assist in the prevention of disease and help provide general well-being.
